While I pay a great deal of attention to the foods and nutrients that I’m putting into my body each day, protein is something that I pay extra attention to. By making sure that I hit my macro goals each day, I feel energized, I perform at my best and my recovery is much faster. I’ve tried them all, including Transparent Labs, 1st Phorm Level-1 and Clean Simple Eats. I decided to switch things up after taking a look at Momentous Protein. I’ve used it for so many things, like my morning smoothie, baking, protein shakes, etc.

Let’s get into the details of this product.

The HOT Takes!

Other Whey Protein Powders I’ve Tried and You Should Consider Too

I’ve tried so many different protein powders over the years. Here are some of my other favorites:

1st Phorm Level-1

One of the best mixing products I’ve come across, 1st Phorm Phormula-1 contains 20 grams of low-temperature processed microfiltrated whey protein isolate. 1st Phorm advertises that their protein works quickly, potentially after your first serving. There are 12 different flavors available, and I’ve tried almost every single one. My favorite is the magical charms variety. You can also stick to your traditional chocolate and vanilla flavors if you prefer. Level-1 pairs well with a variety of other 1st Phorm products, like their Ingnition glycogen recovery supplement.

Clean Simple Eats

Clean Simple Eats protein features an extremely clean ingredient list. Made from grass-fed whey protein isolate, you get 20 grams of protein in each serving. There are only 110 calories in each serving and under 10 grams of carbs. I love the flavor choices from Clean Simple Eats. They have options available, like chocolate brownie batter, simply vanilla, coconut cream and cookies and cream.

Transparent Labs Whey Protein

If you’re looking for an impressive amount of protein, Transparent Labs Whey Protein features 28 grams of protein in each serving! It’s also based on grass-fed whey without the use of growth hormones. The macro count varies a bit from one flavor to the next, but most varieties include just one gram of carbs and one gram of fat.

My Momentous Whey Protein Review and Experience

making a protein shake with momentous whey protein

I liked Momentous Whey Protein when I first came across it because it was developed with athletes in mind. By perfecting a formula that keeps performance in mind, this product contains grass-fed whey protein that is sourced from European dairy farmers according to rigorous agriculture standards. A cold processing method helps preserve the whey’s natural protein structure. ProHydrolase has been added, which is a supplement that accelerates muscle recovery and helps build muscle mass. It’s used in a variety of protein supplements and meal-replacement products. Created with the assistance of registered dieticians and human performance specialists, I suspected that Momentous Protein was going to be a promising product to try for myself.

How I Found Momentous Whey Protein

I came across Momentous Whey Protein just by doing a few searches for clean protein powder on the internet. After doing a little bit of reading on how the product is made and where the whey is sourced from, I was convinced that this product was worth my time and money. I chose a one-time purchase, which, unfortunately, is a bit expensive. You can save over $10 per package if you subscribe and save. I wasn’t sure if I would like this product, so I wasn’t ready for a subscription yet.

I Decided to Give It A Try!

Depending on what the rest of my diet looks like, I sometimes have trouble with whey-based protein powders. The other ingredients and the manufacturing process can also make a difference in how well I can digest protein. Momentous Whey is very clean, and I liked that the ProHydrolase is supposed to help with the digestion process. I didn’t experience any kind of discomfort when using this product, even at first.

On the Momentous website, it’s advertised that this protein supplement can take a few weeks to really kick in as far as performance and recovery are concerned. I don’t feel like it took me that long to notice a difference, but I already use protein on a daily basis. Maybe that impacted my experience. I definitely felt energetic on the days that I used Momentous Protein (which was pretty much every day). I performed well in the gym, and my recovery period wasn’t even really noticeable. I didn’t experience soreness unless I really worked out hard.

Rating the Taste and Texture (Smoothness)

protein powder in glass

I’m very picky about the overall consistency of my smoothies and protein shakes. I really don’t like a product that doesn’t mix well. I was impressed with Momentous Whey Protein and how well it mixed, even in a shaker bottle. I usually use a blender to make my drinks at home, but there are times when I’ll take a scoop of protein on-the-go with me. I’ll add water later on when I want to make my shake. This wasn’t a problem either. The texture was very smooth, regardless of how I prepared it. The taste was also very creamy and pleasant. It wasn’t too sweet, and it didn’t have an aftertaste.

How I Used Momentous Whey Protein Powder

My first Momentous Protein purchase was the unflavored variety. I usually combine half an avocado, a handful of blueberries, a cut-up apple and various other fruits or veggies into my concoction. I put my serving of protein into my smoothie and didn’t notice a change in the flavor at all. I was thrilled to be getting clean protein as part of my morning drink.

Baking

I like to use protein powder in other ways besides just drinks. I have a few muffin recipes that I make regularly for myself and my kids. I added a couple of scoops of Momentous Whey Protein to my recipe for a nice burst of protein.

High-Protein Smoothies

I usually start my day with a protein shake or smoothie. I have a bit of a sensitive gut, and it helps to ease my way into my day by sticking with liquids early on. That being said, I still want to make sure that I’m consuming enough protein for breakfast.

Adding it to my Oatmeal for Breakfast

Bob’s Red Mill Gluten Free Oats are a staple in our household. I love a bowl of overnight oats or cooked oats in the morning. I’ll usually top my oatmeal with fruit of some sort. Adding a scoop of protein to the oats is a great way to boost the nutritional value of this breakfast.

Regular Protein Shakes With a Shaker Bottle

I’ve taken a scoop of Momentous Whey Protein on-the-go as well. I put a scoop into my shaker bottle, toss it in my bag and bring some water along with me. I add the water at the last minute and give everything a shake.

How Much Does It Cost?

A one-time purchase of 24 servings of Momentous Whey Protein costs $64.95. That’s $2.70 per serving. If you subscribe to regular deliveries, the cost is $51.96. That works out to $2.16 per serving.

Would I Recommend It to a Friend?

I have recommended Momentous Protein to many of my friends. With a moderate 20 grams of protein per serving, it’s definitely one of my top protein products. I often have conversations with some of my friends at the gym regarding the products that we’ve been trying lately. We’re all very interested in staying on top of the cleanest and healthiest fitness supplements and products.
